Extensively educated with specialized training and experience, Dr. Boruah is an asset to our team who believes in using the latest technology to care for his patients. He believes in a “multi-modality” approach to dental care, combining techniques and treatments for the best possible outcome. Dr. Boruah earned a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from Gauhti University in India before pursuing a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) in the International Dentist Degree Program at the University of Manitoba, where he graduated with honours. He then began practicing general dentistry in Calgary. Dr. Boruah is a fellow AACP and associate member of the International Association for Orthodontics (IAO) and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM), as well as a member of the IDRG and a senior instructor with the IAO. Dr. Boruah has published papers and lectured on a variety of topics including orthodontics and sleep medicine. Dr. Boruah has offered orthodontic treatment since 1995 and both TMD therapy and sleep medicine solutions for several years. Dr. Boruah completed a mini-residency in craniofacial pain with the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain to learn different diagnostics and treatments for TMD and headaches. He also completed a mini-residency in dental sleep medicine at Tufts University. As part of his dedication to technological advances in dentistry, Dr. Boruah’s treatment approach involves the use of spray and stretch techniques, trigger point injections, ultrasound, and splint therapy among others.
